Estimator/Project Engineer for ASM, ACM Panels, and standing seam metal roofs.

Primary purpose

Estimating and supporting the Project Manager.

Typical Duties

Analyze plan, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

Assess the cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, and track costs relative to bids as the project develops

Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.

Schedule of Values generation and submittal as required.

Submittal generation/coordination.

Apex drawings review/coordination.

Project schedule review/coordination with the site Superintendent and Apex Foreman.

Purchase order generation/tracking for equipment rentals and materials.

RFI generation/tracking, carbon copy Apex Foreman.

COR/CO generation/tracking, carbon copy Ape Forman, review approved COs with Apex Foreman.

T & M tag tracking

Billing coordination/SOV review and submittal with Apex Accounting. Includes review of Apex SOVs, billable Cos, and T&M tags.

Job cost tracking. Review with management.

Closeout Documents submittals.

Assist with the procurement of work. Preparation of complete and professional estimates. Provide leads for upcoming projects and ITBs, and assist in selling Apex to potential customers.

Requirements

Must be proficient in Excel, including formula modifications.

Must be proficient in Adobe, including adding comments and editing PDFs.

Must be proficient in Word.

Must be proficient in pre-algebraic math.

Must have 3 years of experience in the field of installing architectural sheet metal, ACM wall panels, and metal standing seam roofs.
